TUTORING:
Tutoring is typically done
at the public library located closest to the student's house, though other
arrangements can be made for the sake of convenience.
Tutoring is always done one-on-one,
with sessions usually lasting 1 hour. Most students meet for tutoring
once a week, though some meet twice. Hour and a half sessions can be arranged
when needed.
During tutoring, depending
on the particular subject, Mrs. Busler can help the student with homework,
re-teach concepts not understood in school, aid in studying for a quiz
or test, go over study skills, help with organization, enrich content
learned in the classroom, and evaluate student knowledge and ability in
a subject area and teach "gaps" or other missing information.
Mrs. Busler has taught and
can tutor the following subjects for grades 6 through 12:
- Pre-algebra
- Algebra
- Geometry
- Physical Science (Basic
Physics and Chemistry)
- Biology
- Environmental Science
- Life Science
- Earth and Space Science
